Freya (no last name) is a rather tall, muscular woman currently working with Kai and Quill. While she normally isn't one for teamwork (trust issues), she seems to feel some sort of obligation to them. Her short temper and disregard for her own well-being make her rather unpleasant to be around. Freya struggles with many things, including relaxing, regulating her emotions, sleeping, having healthy relationships, and more. She also startles easily.
While Freya never uses magic, her ability to run purely off of anger and a bottle of vodka is rather special in its own right. She also has an interest in enchanting, though for some reason she still hasn't enchanted the sword she always carries with her.
Kai is a small, optimistic, energetic, and sometimes almost childish wolf girl. She takes delight in many things, including things she probably shouldn't. She isn't the brightest tool in the shed, but would you learn well if you were taken from your parents and forced to read several books so you can better serve the bastards that ripped you from your "barbaric" culture and loving family? As a result of all this, she doesn't know much about her parents. She also can't read, struggles with executive function, has well-masked self-esteem issues, etc. Combined with her wolf-like appearance, it's hard for her to get a job or make friends. It's really no surprise she jumped at the first opportunity she found to make a real friend.
Kai has a natural affinity for life magic, which she mainly uses to heal her wounds. She's also a fan of growing vines. Outside of that, life on the streets has tought her several skills, most of which rely on stealth. While she may struggle with words (and many other things), she's much smarter than she lets on. She's also capable of relaxing, unlike the other two.
Quill is a formal, stoic changeling. His usual form is a psynoxian, an owl-like race known for their psychic powers. He had a strong relation with his parents, something not common among changelings. The monster hunters really do not like the fact that he's still alive, so he spends most of his time travelling between towns. He typically travels alone, but he was recently joined by Freya and Kai. While he tries to hide it, the stress of being hunted down like a wild beast is eating away at him. The only real leisure activities he gets to do now are sleep and spend time with his allies. (Kai could be considered a friend, but Freya definitely couldn't.) He struggles with interacting with people.
As a changeling, Quill has the ability to change forms. While this normally doesn't copy more magical or mystical traits of whatever he turns into, his parents gave him an amulet that grants him psychic powers. He rarely makes use of the shapeshifting, and refuses to use most of his psychic powers. After all, it's not nice to dig around in someone's mind. He does, however, have the ability to see an aura around people that can give him an idea of how they're feeling. He also occasionally uses telekinesis.
Abigail ran away from home a few years ago, and very few people know where she went. Currently, the only lead on her location is a mysterious human that bears a striking resemblance to the young noble and goes by the name Freya.
